Writing songs by the age of 13, John Noren discovered a passion he had to explore. His songwriting has now come of age in both his studio production and his live performances. Writing and performing is what drives John's musical passion. With a meticulous approach to songwriting, he extracts the most potent aspects of his rock, blues, and country influences and injects them into every one of his heartfelt songs. Living in the Okanagan since the early '90s, John has steadily built a following by writing, performing, and distributing sample CDs locally. A few years back, he tested the international waters releasing Cowgirl Woman overseas. The song was in the top 25 of all new releases that summer. John Noren pushes the boundaries that define country music producing a sound and style all his own. His expressive vocals and captivating stage presence have translated into wide-range appeal as witnessed in numerous venues throughout the BC Interior. John gained the praise of the audience and fellow performers alike as he opened the show for Joe Nichols and headliner Alan Jackson in 2003 at the Heartland Music Festival in Kelowna, B.C. In 2004, John and his band opened for Reba McEntire and the following year, he opened for Lou Graham, as well as putting on several of his own Okanagan shows. Now ready to bring his music to a national and international market, John is in the process of putting the finishing touches on his first full-length CD.
